'Remembering the words of Our Fathers' .
Words from their calabash
soft or hard
Gentle or rough
Which ever way it may come
It still makes our heart laugh
They would say to their women'- I dont understand how u make me feel'
Its kind of mixed' "Im miserably happy"
Never saw them with a pen
Always laughing at the white man's bead
With their fingers they wrote on sand
With a stone they crave words in our Hearts
Be strong, be tough
Always hold one
Never forget to stand
When u fall
Through the thick back of trees
Through the muds within those huts
They entise us with verbs n similes
Love one another, Never hate or despise the curosity of another
It might at last flame gain
He might at last be a founder.
They give respect to the mountain and hills
They learn from the ants, bees, birds n trees
Said they have found beauty in the streams
And steadfastness in the waterfall
For you are blessed n skillful
With the ink n the sheet
Let it flow freely, avoid deciet
In honour, In love
Knowing that the hearts of Men are involved
Wonder how they dance so freely
With words in his hands n Mouth
Wonder how they dim it fit to make our Mother's laugh...
